Claude Monet

Claude Monet was a founder of French Impressionist painting and he was known for paintings of beautiful  French countryside, landscapes and seascapes. I really love this painting, the colours used are predominantly warm colours and the water perfectly reflects the shadows of the lily-pads and flowers, resting on top of it. The mood of this painting seems warm and peaceful to me and reminds me of the nature that would be shown in a fairy tale, myth or legend.
